Bianca Canizio

Head Coach '02 Classic – Girls

Bianca is the head coach of the ASFC ‘02 girls team for the 2017 Fall season. This is her inaugural season with ASFC and her second season as a head coach since graduating from Warren Wilson College. Canizio began coaching in 2015 volunteering her time with Evergreen Charter school and Asheville Buncombe Youth Soccer Association. She has also coached the soccer in the school's program for ABYSA and coached Warren Wilson’s Upper 90 soccer camp. Immediately following graduation, Canizio coached at the Berkshire Soccer Academy for girls with world-renowned players such as Mia Hamm, Kristine Lilly, and Tisha Venturini-Hoch.

Canizio attended Warren Wilson College from 2012-2016 where she played under Lydia Vandenbergh and Stacey Enos as a four-year starter. Canizio obtained her bachelor of arts in Psychology with a concentration in sports performance. Canizio found the back of the net 44 times, led the fighting owls to two USCAA national appearances, and earned First Team All-American honors twice in her career. Canizio holds her USSF “E” License and is the current assistant for the Warren Wilson College women’s soccer program.
