Saturday October 24th marked our first official scrimmages since February 2020. Due to our cautious approach to return to full training, we were yet to complete a full day of interclub games. However, Saturday was our long awaited return and what a day it was!!

Over the course of the day we had all our players compete against different opponents from with their Shield family. From our U7s all the way to our u18s, we had fun competition brewing throughout the day. The fun began with our Next Gen players taking part in a four team tournament, before our two girls teams played each-other, along with our 2007s vs the 2008s. Our final games of the day were our newly formed 2010s vs the 2009s and the HS boys competing within mixed aged grouped teams. Over the last few months our season has looked very different to usual seasons. Despite this, Saturday we felt more at home than ever. With so much football being played, lots of competition, it was rewarded with hundreds of smiles from players, coaches and parents.

It was excellent to be back out there and we cannot wait to do it all again on November 7th.
