Head Coach U16 Classic – Mens
Stewart has been the UNC Asheville women’s soccer coach staff as an assistant coach since June 2016. He comes to Asheville following a two-year stint at Concord University in Athens, W.V., where he helped the Mountain Lions to a 1.4 goals per game average over the last two seasons. In addition to his work on the field, Stewart also provided scouting analysis and video break down of games and was in charge of all aspects of the strength and conditioning program.
Prior to his time at Concord, Stewart served as an assistant coach at Columbus State and helped the team win the 2013 Peach Belt Conference Championship as they reached the second round of the 2013 NCAA Tournament. He holds his USSF National ‘C’ License and a NSCAA Goalkeeping Level I Diploma and has also worked at the U.S. Soccer National Training Center (2013-2014) in addition to serving on various camp staffs.
Stewart brings a wealth of experience as both a player and coach. He served as an assistant coach at Columbus State University in 2013 where he helped lead his team to a conference championship and an appearance in the NCAA Division II Tournament. Additionally, he coached the CSU men’s soccer club team. Stewart was the Valdosta State University men’s soccer club team vice president and coach for the 2011-12 season as well.
On the youth soccer level, Stewart coached both the CFC Red Star Academy U-10 girls’ team and the Columbus Youth Soccer Association’s U-14 boys’ team in 2013.
Stewart holds a U.S. Soccer Foundation (USSF) C coaching license and has been certified to recruit by the NCAA.
